Thomas Woolrych in Argentina Day 12: Empanadas and Torrontés

Are made for each other. After this morning’s tasting, fresh empanadas were served. Piping hot from the clay oven. Like small Cornish pasties, traditionally filled with a meat and olive mix but there are many versions. Served with a refreshing glass of chilled Torrontés, they are quite delicious. We could do with these in the office as they're a lot tastier than sandwiches. Mind you Torrontés works equally well with Thai food. A bit easier to find back at home.
