Monday is market day in Castillon. I love it. Have loved it for 43 years.

Stallholders who know you. Who enquire about your health, your sex-life, your English rugby. I just love it.

Wild horses (or a small, cross, Scottish wife) are needed to get me to a supermarket. Hate them.

But real markets I could live in. They smell so good. A little aperitif with Jean Pierre and Annette in their lotus flower garden high on the town wall, then lunch at Les Voyageurs. Mimi still begging I find her an English buyer because she's so tired. Never! An English restaurant in Castillon. Unthinkable. Le Chai looking good. Syrah de Folie just bottled. Wow! But am officially on holiday so my Blackberry is about to be taken awa.........
