We were out early like everyone else – adapting our day to the 'heure soleil'; sun time rather than clock time so as to work in the cool and avoid the noonday sun. We may be English (and Scottish) but we have learnt the local wisdom. And clearly Alfie the dog is not totally mad either, chased rabbits all morning but now being asleep in the shade.
