Up over 40 degrees. The vines love it and leap ahead. People tend to slow up. The locals hide away indoors behind closed shutters so you'd think the town deserted.
The British stagger on though. We really must learn to be proper Castillonais; work to the 'heure soleille and get up with the sun and be active before it gets unbearable.
Great evening at La Plage; Castillon's summer open air restaurant and bar since 1920. Bit rough and ready but fun.
