Henry thinks it'll be good to give the Cabernets a final boost of sun before picking tomorrow. So Barry (Hemingway) Smith, the mountain man from Montana and I take to the water on this unexpected day off. 
Monsieur Cassin gave me his old wooden canoe and beautifully restored now it's just wonderful for two old guys to potter about with the electric motor, watching the rowing crews sweating hard in front of the Chai au Quai. Lovely sunny day. Just remember the fishing line next year, Barry.
