When Henry and I set off from home at 4.20am we surprised a small herd of roe deer on the village green. Right on the cricket square!
Dover, Tunnel, and A26 to here. 11.20am - Chalons is the place where we landed at the airport one time (in the days when I was a bit flash and hired planes to get round faster). Thing is I'd asked the pilot to take us to a r/v at the other Chalons ... in Burgundy. Boy did that airport have a good laugh. Stupides Anglais! Red faces all round.
Anyway, we have another hour or so of road to Chablis where we meet with Helen and Mark (from Le Chai) to visit a few growers. Tomorrow is St Vincent's Day. Patron saint of winegrowers. And it's the big party in Chablis. Will let you know how it goes.
Hope you all got the latest list today in the post. Let me know what you think but I think it's wonderful. Just too much temptation!
