When the social events are over we escape Hong Kong's marble towers across the water to the hive of industry that is Kowloon. Weave through steaming streets of intermingled workshops, bars and shops to our warehouse three floors up.
It’s cool – good! – and packed to the roof. Maximum use of space means constant bending under the low racking. Like a mine of wine. Reminds me of our early days in the old munitions factory we rented in Slough.
But the software! The delivery-tracing computer programme proudly demonstrated by young Anthony is the best I've ever seen. It tells you where every bottle is at every moment, video links mean you can SEE it delivered from here – or from Britain if you wish. We must have this in the UK!
Delivery isn't easy in this crowded city, but we have a great team here, and after all nowhere is more than 25 mins away in Hong Kong.
Anthony and I check the Red Heads wine; Esulé that has been a big hit at tastings. Tomorrow fly home.
