Well, the Red Heads cat is well and truly out of the bag. Even The Sydney Morning Herald has sniffed an exciting story, and I particularly enjoyed the word 'monster': "A small group of McLaren Vale's youngest winemakers are doing their own thing in a micro way at Red Heads Studio, a "garage winery" with a difference. Ten people made wine there last vintage, paying $400 a tonne, all done with a

Most of the wines are exported to the UK, to co-owner and wine merchant Tony Laithwaite. Red Heads has a mailing list but no cellar door sales. Whopping reds with monster alcohol strengths are the order of the day. Viottolo wines are on the tasting counter, along with the Longwood wines of another patron, Phil Christiensen.
